IBC Heating |
Advantages of Heating IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers)Many materials become viscous at room temperature, notably sugars, syrups, fats, surfactants, lubricants and a variety of chemicals. Without heating, product typically cannot be discharged quickly from an IBC into the production process, even at room temperature. Raising the ambient temperature to improve production efficiency is a costly process. Heating the IBC, or other containers, provides a practical and effective method for maintaining process efficiency by allowing much faster decant of ingredients at all times and in all environments. A further advantage of heating containers such as IBCs is a better product yield. Without heating, many contents cannot be fully discharged due to their viscosity, leaving waste product in the container which can add significantly to manufacturing costs. Inditherm IBC heating jackets can thus deliver valuable advantages to the manufacturing process, with reduced waste and shorter production cycle times. The precision control and even heat application afforded by Inditherm’s technology avoids the problems of product spoil associated with some other types of heater. Inditherm provides a range of heated IBC jackets to fit virtually any shape or make of IBC, including Schutz, Ragus, Pallecon and many more. All jackets use Inditherm’s patented carbon polymer technology (CPT) to ensure that heat is applied evenly over a large surface area, giving high thermal transfer characteristics that deliver highest heating performance at lowest running cost. Inditherm not only supply a range of jackets to fit different manufacturers IBCs we also offer two heating options along with fixed or variable temperature control depending on your processing requirements.
