IBC Heating - Features and Benefits

Features & Benefits

Inditherm provides a range of heated IBC jackets to fit virtually any shape or make of IBC, including Schutz, Ragus, Pallecon and many more. All jackets use Inditherm’s patented carbon polymer technology to ensure that heat is applied evenly over a large surface area, giving high thermal transfer characteristics that deliver highest heating performance at lowest running cost.

Practical & Versatile

Removable heated jackets are designed so that they can be fitted and removed quickly and easily. All IBC jackets include an insulated lid for added efficiency and can be customised to cater for inlets, outlets, etc.

Precise digital temperature controls are provided to meet process requirements, with the option of fixed output temperature for simplicity or fully variable to cater for changing process conditions or needs. Inditherm technology ensures there are no hot spots, such as can be associated with trace heating wire type designs.

Inditherm also supplies a range of pads that fit to the inside walls of collapsible containers. Inditherm's IBC heaters can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Safety

Inditherm systems all run at extra low voltage (SELV) to ensure operator safety at all times and under any conditions. High performance thermal insulation is integrated into all jackets, not only ensuring maximum heating efficiency and low running cost, but also preventing any risk of operators touching a hot surface in higher temperature applications.

Durability

The design of Inditherm IBC heaters takes into account the harsh environment that the containers can be used in. The heated jackets are manufactured with industrial grade PVC outer covers for unrivalled durability.  The insulation is provided using closed-cell foam to give not only high thermal efficiency but also long life in an industrial environment unlike other low quality products manuactured using inferior insulation such as glass fibre (e.g. Rockwool).

Performance

The heated IBC jackets use Inditherm's patented, extra low voltage carbon polymer technology to provide the heating. The construction is in two parts: a heated jacket that surrounds the walls of the IBC and a removable, insulated lid. Unlike other forms of heating, there are no hot spots. Inditherm also produces unheated jackets that are suitable for materials where insulation only is required to retain heat.

All products in the range have high thermal insulation fully integrated to ensure that heat is directed efficiently into the container. This ensures highest energy efficiency, lowest running cost and significant environmental advantages.

Cost Saving

The energy saving provided by Inditherm IBC heated covers are very significant compared to other products.  Annual running costs are typically more than 35% lower than those of a trace heating type IBC jacket.
